Press play: hear it before you file it

A track title and a BPM only tell you so much. The whole point of digging is the moment a record actually plays and you know — in two bars — whether it's for you. mixinout now puts that moment one click away, everywhere there's a list of songs.

A play button on every list

Wherever a record can be previewed, there's now a play button sitting in the same place — the leading control, right before the artwork. Tap it and the track loads into a player docked at the bottom of the screen; tap again to stop. It follows you across the whole site:

• Set pages, so you can listen through a tracklist in order.
• Label pages and Browse, so a filtered dig becomes a listening session.
• The mixed into and mix next lists on a track page, so you can hear a transition instead of imagining it.

The button only appears when a record is actually playable, and it holds its spot when it isn't — so rows stay aligned and you always know where to reach.

Dig with your ears

Reading is fast, but listening is decisive. Filter Browse down to a key and tempo window, then run your finger down the play buttons — you'll throw out half the list in a minute, and the survivors are the ones worth saving. It's the digital version of pulling records off the shelf and dropping the needle.

Preview, then keep it

Hearing a track is step one; the point is to keep the good ones. Once a record lands, the controls on each row are right there: like it, drop it into a collection, or toss it in a crate for later. Preview, decide, save, move on — the same loop a digger runs in a record shop, just faster.
